Hello, my name is Robin Dietel. I am a mother of four adult children and a Mema to four beautiful granddaughters. I have been a nurse for over 36 years, 28 of those being in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, NBN Nursery, Lactation and Childbirth Education. My passion to provide education and support to expectant parents allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a certified doula. In March of 2021 I started Mema D’s Doula Services, LLC providing both labor and postpartum doula services to the Central Wisconsin area.

Whether this is your first birth journey or not I will as your Labor Doula provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for your comfort. My goal is to assist you to the best of my ability in obtaining a satisfying birth experience. I will draw on my professional training, knowledge, and experience to provide you with emotional support and physical comfort. I can also facilitate communication with the staff to ensure that you have the information you need to make informed decisions regarding your baby’s birth. I will support your birth preferences and goals as much as is safe and medically possible in order for you to have a positive outcome of a healthy mom and healthy baby. I am independent and self-employed, and as such, am working for YOU, not your caregiver or place of birth. 

As a Postpartum Doula I can work with you, the birthing family, during the postpartum period of up to 1 year. Some of the postpartum services that I can perform include:

* Breastfeeding support

* Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth

* Light housekeeping so that mom does not feel so overwhelmed

*Running errands

*Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting

*Light meal preparation

*Baby soothing techniques

*Sibling care

*Referrals to local resources such as but not limited to parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support and other parenting support groups
